Are Care Coordinators and Assistants employees of Wellthy?

Wellthy Care Coordinators and Assistants are virtual, part-time independent contractors. Coordinators and Assistants set their own schedules and can take on as many (or as few) projects as they’d like. The majority of our Coordinators either have part-time or flexible jobs or are stay-at-home moms and create their own schedules.

How does Wellthy handle onboarding, training, evaluation, and quality control with the coordination team?

At Wellthy, our most important goal is customer delight. We maintain and expect a high quality customer experience and work to ensure consistency across our customers. We also strive for a great experience for our Care Coordinators and Assistants. We want you to feel excited, challenged, and fulfilled by your work with Wellthy. Some ways we provide ongoing support to our Care Coordinators and Assistants:

  • A Google Group for weekly updates (tools, tips, reminders, etc.)
  • A monthly Coordination Team call
  • Tips for specific topics and communication strategies
  • Ongoing support and oversight by a Care Manager

How many customers and/or hours can a Coordinator/Assistant work?

Some Care Coordinators take on as little as 2 clients per month and others have 10 or more clients. Similarly, Assistants take on anywhere from 2 to 10 tasks per month. Since families’ care needs fluctuate, there will be times when extra support or less support will be needed. The goal is to provide the level of support needed to ensure clients feel supported.

Who oversees the work? How is feedback delivered?

You will be paired with a Wellthy Care Manager who will virtually shadow you during your first project and provide upfront guidance and best practices. Your manager will provide ongoing feedback and encourage questions and suggestions from you.

Is Wellthy subject to HIPAA compliance?

Wellthy is not a “covered entity” so we are not required to be HIPAA compliant. We do, however, take privacy and security very seriously. Our platform has bank-level security and Care Coordinators and Assistants follow strict security protocols to protect families’ personally identifiable information.
