Caring for loved ones, globally

Global

Being a caregiver often means juggling doctor appointments, work responsibilities, family life, and emotional support. Caregiving can look very different from one family to the next, shaped by where someone lives, how their family is structured, and what support is needed at a given moment.

For today’s global workforce, caregiving knows no borders or time zones. Some caregivers are supporting loved ones close to home, while others are navigating care across cities, regions, or countries. In every case, caregivers balance a complex mix of logistical and emotional responsibilities.

That’s why Wellthy offers global caregiving support, meeting members where they are, providing guidance that reflects local healthcare systems, cultural norms, language needs, and individual preferences, so families receive support that feels practical, personal, and relevant.

How Wellthy supports caregivers and their loved ones, globally

Wellthy provides care coordination to support employees wherever they are and wherever care is needed. Our Care Coordinators serve as a central point of organization and guidance, helping families move forward with clarity and confidence. Care Coordinators adapt their approach based on each member’s needs, preferences, and feedback, recognizing that caregiving looks different across families, regions, and cultures.

Our teams take into account local healthcare systems, regional norms, and language needs, and work with multilingual experts and translated materials so communication feels clear and accessible. Access to care can vary widely by location — particularly in rural or less densely resourced areas — and Care Coordinators adjust recommendations accordingly, exploring different tiers of support and alternative options when structured services are limited.

By grounding guidance in local contexts while staying closely connected to each family’s priorities, Wellthy helps caregivers navigate care in a way that feels practical, respectful, and personal.

Care Coordinators can assist with:

  • Navigating local healthcare and elder care systems across regions and countries
  • Researching and coordinating care with trusted doctors, specialists, and hospitals
  • Providing unbiased research and a second perspective on care options
  • Identifying in-home support, long-term care options, and other locally available services
  • Connecting families with vetted caregivers, providers, and service partners in a loved one’s area
  • Coordinating logistics such as appointments, transportation, and follow-up care
  • Helping manage paperwork, payments, and insurance-related tasks within local systems
  • Accessing community resources and programs relevant to a loved one’s location
  • Supporting communication and coordination across family members, regardless of where they live
  • Helping caregivers make informed decisions from afar.

Real families, real impact

Wellthy member, Diya, lives in California, where she manages the responsibilities of her career and own family while caring for her elderly parents in Noida, India. Her parents, both in their late 70s, require frequent medical attention and assistance with daily activities due to chronic health issues. Despite Diya's best efforts to balance her career and family life while caring for her elderly parents from afar, their chronic health issues and need for frequent medical attention and daily assistance have been a challenge.

Wellthy helped by:

  • Coordinating planned hospital surgery by gathering requirements, completing admissions formalities, arranging transportation, and settling elderly into the hospital.
  • Locating a local care company to accompany parents with errands like bank visits and grocery shopping, and coordinated necessary tasks at home.
  • Helping to put an Emergency Plan in place.
  • Researching and recommending additional medical insurance options, considering both current and potential future needs

Throughout the process, Wellthy served as a central hub for organization and communication, helping Diya feel confident and supported while managing her parents’ care.
