Becoming a parent changes everything. Even with preparation, experience, or the best intentions, it’s easy to find yourself awake at odd hours searching for answers and wishing support were easier to find. The right help makes a world of difference when you’re running on little sleep and a lot of love.
This National Family Caregivers Month, we’re reminded how much care shows up in everyday moments—especially for working parents balancing it all. We’re grateful for the stories families share with us, and for the employers who recognize that the right support can make a meaningful difference at home and at work.
One of those stories comes from Katie, a Senior HR Manager at Hilton and a parent of two who found herself in familiar territory that suddenly felt brand new again: newborn sleep. As a second-time parent, she expected a level of been-there-done-that confidence. Instead, she found herself back in late nights, conflicting advice, and a baby with a very different sleep style than her older child. This time around, she reached for support.
She turned to Wellthy, where she was connected with a Care Coordinator who helped her cut through the noise, find credible guidance, and build a sleep plan that worked for her family This personalized guidance brought her family a sense of calm and, crucially, some much-needed rest. As Katie shared,
“[Our Care Coordinator] Maria was kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. There's so much information out there, and it can be hard to know what's right for your family. Having someone we could trust to cut through the noise and offer personalized guidance made a huge difference.”
Katie’s story reminds us that even experienced caregivers sometimes need a hand, and the right support can make all the difference. Read her full story on Hilton’s blog here.
