Three years ago, we launched Wellthy Community with the goal of creating a space where caregivers could feel less alone while managing the many demands of care alongside daily life. Caregiving touches more than 63 million Americans, yet the experience is too often marked by silence and isolation.
That’s why we built Wellthy Community — an online peer network designed to close the gap, connect caregivers, and offer a safe space to share challenges, resources, and encouragement. Our hope was to make the caregiving journey just a little lighter by fostering connection.
Now, as we celebrate its third anniversary, we’re proud of the ways Wellthy Community has grown into a trusted support system. With more than 8,000 members, the openness and generosity of this space has exceeded our expectations.
No one captures that better than Sara Maloney, our Wellthy Community Product Manager, who has been there since the beginning:
“When we started Wellthy Community, we didn't know if members would be comfortable sharing their experiences online because of the stigma associated with being a family caregiver and a full-time employee. Over the past three years, that hasn't been a problem at all. Our members are so open to sharing about their own personal, sometimes heartbreaking, situations in the name of helping someone else through a similar journey. I am on almost every virtual support group we host, and in every session, someone ends the meeting by thanking everyone in the room and sharing how they feel less alone now. It's because of our members' willingness to be vulnerable and to help others that Wellthy Community is the amazing resource it is today.”
Let's take a moment to look at some impressive statistics that showcase how members have been engaging with Wellthy Community and supporting one another over the past three years.

Alongside them, Wellthy’s Care Team Moderators contribute expertise in elder care, social work, and home health rehabilitation, and more.
Going into year four, we remain deeply grateful to our members for the honesty, generosity, and compassion they bring to this space. We’re excited to keep growing this community, ease the isolation caregivers feel, and provide solutions and support that are grounded in lived experience.
